Founding Executive/Artistic Director
Gettysburg Community Theatre has performing and educational opportunities for ALL ages and abilities.
We offer classes/camps year round with reasonably priced tuition, as well as a free after school program.
We hold auditions for all of our productions (adults and youth) to select who will be in the cast and crew of the show, while some productions are just for kids, some just for adults, some just for senior citizens, some are mixed generations cast, and so forth.
We are also pleased to offer annually a program called The Penguin Project for youth with special needs and their peer mentors without special needs to produce a musical together.
Additionally, we also have a senior citizen theatre group where seniors ages 55+ not only take on ALL the roles in the cast no matter their age, but are also welcome to use their scripts on stage (if they wish) in a stress free production where they do not have to worry about memorization and can just have fun socializing and performing with their senior friends of the community.
We invite EVERYONE to come be a part of this community theatre.
Find YOUR stage door...and open it!
THE FIRST TEACHER
As your childs' first teacher, you play a big part in how well your son or daughter does in school. It is the same here at the theatre.
PARTNER WITH US
We invite you to work with our teachers to help students get all they can out of their growing years. You can help by helping your child memorize their script and music at home and volunteer with us too!
Don't forget to read our handbook.
THE faculty AND STAFF AT Gettysburg Community Theatre ARE UNITED IN THEIR BELIEF THAT everyone:
Has the power to learn
Can be curious & creative
Should be accepted for who they are.
At Gettysburg Community Theatre, we emphasize acceptance for ALL, teamwork, building confidence, and we encourage everyone to "Find Your Stage Door...And Open It"...wherever it may lead....follow your dreams!
